Take a look at this photograph above, taken at Changi Airport. I was trying to take a picture of the unicorn or horse with wings (and all the rest of the decorations). Taking a photograph without people is getting so hard nowadays!

What a wonderful idead --- unfortunately, the seat which I had seen in the toilet was not in good condition...

This is my doggy coin bank, purchased from Malaysia. You can see that it is very old already and its left eye was gone too. Below the coin bank, you can see some words written on it as shown below in the photograph.

These are words written on the Doggy Coin Bank, a souvenir of our first tour to Malaysia. This Doggy Coin Bank belongs to me and it is written my name and it is signed by Richard.

There is another Doggy Coin Bank, exactly like this one above. Richard and I bought two similar ones during the year 1993 when we went to Malaysia, Genting for tour. It is supposed to be souvenirs and served as a remembrance for our trip there. So on mine, you can see those written words as shown above. As for Richard's, it is written the same thing, except that it is written his name, Richard Toh, but with my signature. Where is the Doggy Coin Bank now? I would like to see how my signature looked like then! But too bad... it's broken already... Did he not treasure the dog or was it fate or accident?

The first time I went to the Casino with Richard, I played Keno with him. That was the FIRST TIME I stepped into the Casino. I had never played Keno before. But I saw that it was a BET on NUMBERS. It is something like TOTO or 4D (4-digits), some kind of lottery game. There are pieces of paper displayed so that you can take any piece, a clean sheet, and you can start shading or circling (can't remember which one, the exact procedure) for the numbers you wanted to bet on (opening).

I was so CONFIDENT, and there is just something on my brain... do I call this what people used to say..."Gut Feeling"? Well, don't care what sort of feeling I have, but I just bet on THREE numbers, just three numbers. MY AIM was not to EARN MONEY, but to TRY or just to PLAY, since I was there, and also being Curious.

I hate to read WORDS, and I dislike reading small words for the rules of the games. And I have no interest in calculating how much I would win if I place such and such amount of money. I just placed my bet on a small amount of money. If I had remembered correctly, I won $85 (or $115 -- its either one) for the right numbers I had -- 3 numbers all correct!

It is just so LUCKY and so IMPOSSIBLE that I can actually won the game upon FIRST ENTRY into the casino, really First ENTRY -- our first game at Genting casino! Chinatown, beautifully decorated for Mid-Autumn Festival

It was such a TERRIFIC day, and this is how I spent my birthday: We went to Outram Park -- Ricsson went for dental treatment at National Dental Centre Singapore, SingHealth. My experiences at National Dental Centre will be mentioned later. So many things to share....

After everything was done at the National Dental Centre, we left the building, and decided to walk to Singapore Flyer.

The Moon, with 'Chang-er' and the rabbits...

I was so high-spirited. It was the first time that everything was so 'new' to me, with 'new' meaning. It is the 'kingdom of heaven' within me... There is hope, there is life, there is HOPE...

Walking through Chinatown is 'terrible'. I dislike the smell and the floor. I was so relieved when we finally came to Central Mall, and finally here, Singapore River...

Elgin Bridge, 1929: A wooden bridge already stood at this spot when Stamford Raffles arrived in Singapore. The present structure was built in 1926 to replace an 1863 iron bridge named after Lord Elgin, the Governor-General of India.

This is so beautiful... Never had I this feeling of beauty of Singapore...

From afar, I saw the Parliament House... again very inspired, very motivated, at the sight of it... such a wonderful and nice building, with the 'logo of Singapore' (state crest) and the flag standing on top of the building.

This 'timid' cat, came out again... went into hiding among the bushes when Clara ran after it. Just when I was about to leave the place, it came out again, running up the slope... Clara told me about it and I ran after it. It was then spotted here...

Defamation Letter from BioFocus International Pte Ltd

Received this mail by hand from the 'despatch rider' (Richard said,"Don't look like despatch rider, wear until like that, no money to hire despatch rider, one of them....")

Don't even know who is this person, curly hair, wear long-sleeved shirt and wear spectacle. Just ask me to sign on the letter, and I sign, and he gave me this letter.

Client: I did not even know who is the client, who is the boss, who is the caller who talk to me, everything I don't know, but only pay them money for treatment of my face. Upon leaving, I was asked to have a lucky dip.... It was a rebate, and turn out 'psycho' me about signing up for subsequent facial treatment.... over 2.5k and after the rebate would still be about 2k.... the paper was crushed after that, throwing into the bin.

I asked about free gift? No such thing.

Why should I defame them? Do I hold any grudge against them? Do I know anybody there?

I worked in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, I worked in Schools, I worked in Real Estate, I worked with Prudential. Did I hold any grudge against anybody? Did I defame any of these people whom I ever knew on my website?

MY CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR. I went confession on 16 August 2008. I told father Terence my sins. Ask Father Terence if I had told him whether I tell lies a not.

Let me die a miserable death, let me be knocked down by car, let me be struck by lightning, these are words which people like to swear. I don't know if it is wrong to do that, but my father did that, and until now, my father is well. And I swear, all I said is the truth, based on my experience, REAL EXPERIENCE, not any kind of paid review they are offering me or would I have any monetary returns by writing all these, but WOMEN BEWARE, who are the women?

Your daughter, your wife, if you are the MAN. Would you want your wife or daughter or the women themselves to be lie in the 'hands of these people'? I would show you more proof and evidence of what I gathered.

Tell me, LEE HSIEN LONG or LEE KWAN YEW, and all the MPs and my MP here, ELLEN LEE, is there JUSTICE? Don't tell me you would not be aware of this matter, are you internet savvy? We are Singapore citizen. What our school teach us and what our NATION teach us? WE ARE YOUR RESULTS. TELL ME, is this the LAWFUL WAY to do business in SINGAPORE, treating woman, an unemployed woman, ordinary housewife, bored the nation two kids, one boy and one girl, 'listened' to your free advice, and now seeking your free advice, am neither a lawyer nor doctor.

Gifts From Singapore

This book was being put in 'cold storage' until recently, when I began to look into the History of Singapore. It was being put into 'Yahoo Auction' by some people.

I wanted to throw away this water bottle some time ago, but I put in one side later on....

Today, the children went to school for National Day Celebration. In normal years, they would bring home National Day Gifts. But today they came back empty-handed. Clara came home with a bottle of new water.

I began to think of the previous years' gifts. I had never treasure the gifts at all. I even threw away the National Day Bag. I regretted it so much. It is such a rare gift, and I did not know the importance of it... Whenever I saw the bag on the road (some people carried it), I would be reminded of the National Day Bag which I had thrown away...

I am going to treasure these gifts now, these two 'souvenirs' I had left -- the water bottle and the book, Today in History Singapore. I would not throw this book away nor sell it away. I would treasure it. It says "On this day in 1963, National Theatre, the largest at that time, was opened. It was built to commemorate Singapore's attainment of self-government in 1959." On this day is 8 August in the book and there are lines for the student to write notes. It contains all the works of students on every page of it. For example, on this page of the day, Wu Junde, age 11 of Zhenghua Primary School wrote: I was born on 8 August 1993. On this day in 1967, Singapore joined Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand to form the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It was formed to promote peace, prosperity and stability in the region through the cooperation of all its members. I feel that it is also good for neighbouring countries to help one another in times of need. I am very glad that Singapore is a member of ASEAN.

This is one of the page from today's My Paper. I did not read the fine words but only the headlines. Reading chinese is so hard, unlike English, which is easy to pronounce. There is no way to read the chinese character if you cannot recognize the chinese words at all. The headlines said "leaving home then know home is good" in Chinese. This is also called 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'. We learned to appreciate things only after we had lost them. This is especially so for arts, be it singers, the works of actors/actresses and so on. When the person is around, their work is always not appreciated, and have 'no value'. This is a sad thing, because people never learn how to treasure what they have. Having said that, I am no different. It is something that need to be learned and cultivated. It takes time...

I took how long of my life to understand what is life, and not all yet. I took how long of my life to understand what I had been doing, and I took how long of my life to really know the truth and understand what is the meaning of all! At least 28 years. For these 30 years since I was able to have memory, I had never know the meaning of life!

But after my awakening, I knew that Life is a gift. To be able to breathe everyday is a gift already.....

Excellent Service Award 2006, celebrities photographs, Must Be GOOD????!!!!!......

This is the email they sent me after calling me. They called me total about 5 times, two times to fix an appointment, three times to confirm the appointment. I was being 'qing chai'(teochew=ok=anything), and I fixed an appointment with them, the day and time to my convenient. But they were very irritating. First time they called, said want to call me back, never. The next time they called, I told them a day and time I was okay with it, which was Thursday 3.7.08, 4pm. This 'young girl' said would call me again or sms to tell me the address the Thursday week. However, the next day I received another person's call, this time a 'older woman' whose name was Maggie.

She was very irritating. I had already fixed appointment with the 'younger gir'. But on and on she talked and talked and mentioned about their benefits, their 'sure to win' lucky dip, but hesitant about it. Despite the fact that I told her that I already fixed the appointment, she asked me again and again, "so next Monday, Tuesday you can a not?" So irritated by this sort of people. People already told you the date I WANT, and she kept asking, wanted to push the day forward. If she wanted to ask some more, I am not going -- I was so patient with her.

Before she put down the phone, she asked for my email. That was another headache, real HEADACHE. I don't know she had problems with hearing or I have problems with pronounciation. Anyway, the email was sent and I received, as shown above.

The shop front, told me it was very new, special, but does not look BRAND NEW... their Sales Tactics again...

The reason I agreed to go:

I asked them many time, and even on the day when I stepped into their shop -- Is it Free? Is there really SO GOOD, FREE and got FREE GIFT like the email had written?

For a trip to Biofocus I spent S$88....Is not Free after all, You won't get to see these on TV, you won't get to hear this ON TV, CELEBRITY WON'T Say these

MY EXPERIENCE at BIOFOCUS:
Look at the 'mess' on my chest and neck. Prior to that I SPECIALLY INSTRUCTED the girl, which I asked her for her name, and she was reluctant to say, but still said. Service Award, what kind of service? What kind of criteria do you use to judge and what kind of people being 'used' to offer them this kind of title 'Service AWARD'? Never introduced themselves, Never wear name tag, never greet people, but all they asked was INFORMATION ABOUT CUSTOMERS, contact details, very important, Everything they want to know, but WE KNOW nothing about them.

Why $88? Not Free??
You must know something called TACTICS, this type of people in this line is VERY GOOD at that. My experience with these type of people, all the same, from BOON LAY, accompanied my mother, my sister and I saw and I heard, and now the ULTIMATE!

After filling up form, went to the room, lied down and they 'spat' a 'lump sum of cream' on the face. This is vitamin C, and blah blah blah, said your face how serious it is and how they can help you. The free one? Don't need to ask anymore. Just the 'One spat' and 'rub the whole face' that's it, the Vitamin C facial. It would soon be over and there you get out of the room. Well, I would not be so 'nasty' and be so direct to you this time. I tried 'lor'.

How much? You said you are direct, I also AM DIRECT. Don't need to beat about the bush -- Said so much, I already know what you want! Blah blah blah and blah blah blah, said want to give me this, give me that, but in the end, when I left the shop, EMPTY HANDED.

I signed for a bottle of $88 'thing', never even showed me what is the thing I paid for, and there were only two names on the shit, me and another woman named Mable. She suffered the same fate as me -- very obvious.

After the Facial, I did not feel any different to my skin, even now, EVERYBODY said it was the same. Tell you, my face even have two red scratches, so painful -- like a cat. I told the woman, Ali, to protect her privacy, though I know her full name. Such a lengthy story, I got so much to say about them..... some more to come... To Be Continued

An Important Notice

This irritating notice was finally removed.

This is real obstruction at Woodgrove, just outside 7-11, not the first time, but a common scene. But no steps were taken.

Yet, my house, no problem at all, and yet want to come and step on my tail:

On 12.6.08, the piece of notice from Sembawang Town Council still exist, pasting on the wall above this bicycle. Yesterday, 13.6.08, the notice was gone. All our bicycles including this one, still left untouched.

At Woodlands Civic Centre, bicycles and motorcycles were parked 'everywhere', obstructing pedestrian pathways and an ugly scene. Yet this is the kind of notice pasted at the pillar, the notice different from that of my home.

Valentine's Day, a day where lovers celebrate their love, is no longer just a day for lovers. Who are my lovers? People whom I love are my lovers. They are my children, my husband and my brothers, sisters, parents, nieces, nephews and even good friends.

Valentine's Day for our family is just another normal day, but with this special day, it adds more gleam to our monotonous life, especially in the little country where I live. There are hardly any natural scenery, no nature park but artificial park. No mountains and meadows, but cement and lots of flats all around, North South East West -- I am surrounded by Flats and walls. What else can you do on Valentine's Day beside staying in the box -- watching movies, dining in restaurants, and shopping in the box!

So there is only shop and spend. Can you shop and see? Children would not be happy at the end of the day if you bring them for shopping. They will find something they like. Almost everything they like, especially toys! And for this Valentine's Day, Richard had to buy gifts for Clara, the crying baby. For three consecutive days, he had broken her heart. He had accused her of some issues. How else can he make amendments? He always want to offer a free kiss, which she would resist.

Voodoominis is the ultimate gift which they had chosen themselves. Since Clara had gift, to be fair, Ricsson must also have gift. To make everybody happy, the family bought one Voodoominis each.

This is Voodoominis with Study/Carrer Charm, a special gift for Valerie, my niece as well as tuition kid. That night, my brother and Vanessa came. I did not know they would come, otherwise I would have bought another two. Anyway, I ran out of time too. Next time perhaps.

This is The Last Supper Picture that you see in this photograph above. The Last Supper has been the subject of many paintings by the most famous artist, Leonardo da Vinci. The Last Supper is also called the Lord's Supper or Mystical Supper. This was the last meal which Jesus had shared with his twelve Apostles and disciples before his death.

My sister fell in love with this picture the first time she saw it. We were shopping at Ginza Plaza several years back. She could not go home without this beautiful artwork. She asked the shopkeeper for the price of the The Last Supper artwork and she was determined to buy it at all cost. I was so surprised that such a picture cost as much as S$600! That was the price she paid for this piece of artwork on The Last Supper after discount given by the Shopkeeper.

She was always lucky. She won 4D lotteries after she had bought this picture. It was a time where she need to move house too. She wanted to put this beautiful picture at her new house. During the day when she moved house, she had instructed the house movers to take special care of her treasured art pieces. She did not ask for any Fine Art Storage as that would have cost extra money for her. She did not have much precious arts except for the only piece, The Last Supper.

During the transportation, everything went on smoothly and her Last Supper was fine. However, over the years, the picture has faded. Sunlight has caused the picture to fade, losing its original colour and lustre. She obviously needs to know about art protection. This piece of art is so special and beautiful. However, without proper art protection, it has now lost its original glamour. All valuable arts should be protected and handled with care, especially during moving or shipping. This is my baby photograph. My parents were not rich and I was fortunate enough to have three baby photographs, two big and one small, all black and white. During those days, my parents have to work hard, earning money to support the family. There were not much leisure time to waste taking photographs too.

However, parents of today were so different from last time. With technology more advanced, digital camera and handphone that come with camera function are so common now. Watch is very important to us. Everywhere we go, the watch can tell us time. Knowing the time allows us to plan for the day. Knowing the time allows us to be punctual during appointments. Without the watch, just like sometimes when we forget to bring our watch out or when our watch is not going, we often need to lookout for clocks in shopping complex, or to ask passers-by for time. This is a lot of inconvenience and obviously decrease productivity.

My most precious watch is Rolex, given to me by my father. I also have another Pierre Balmin Watch, but it is already out of order. It is a gift from my husband. My second brother is a business manager. He used to be a product manager with a food company, but now he is an account manager with another company. Charlie Brown is the principal character of Peanuts.

Peanuts was a syndicated daily comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, which ran from 2 October 1950 to the day after Schulz's death, 13 February 2000. The strip was one of the most popular and influential in the history of the medium. At its peak Peanuts ran in over 2,600 newspapers, with a readership of 355 million in 75 countries, and was translated into 40 languages. It helped to cement the four-panel gag strip as the standard in the United States. Reprints of the strip are still syndicated and run in many newspapers.

In addition, Peanuts achieved considerable success for its television specials, several of which, including A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown were recipients of, or were nominated for Emmy awards.

The Pink Panther is the sly, lanky animated cat created by Friz Freleng and David DePatie. Often harried but rarely ruffled, the character was first created for the opening titles of the live-action film The Pink Panther (1964), which starred Peter Sellers as a bumbling French policeman pursuing an exotic diamond called the Pink Panther.

The animated titles were so popular that DePatie and Freleng immediately set to work on a series of animated shorts, in the vein of Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse.

The Panther cartoons had no dialogue, but were backed by variations on Henry Mancini's slithery, saxophone-y Pink Panther theme (also from the original film).

Some Facts About Bats:
Bats are the only flying mammals. They give birth to live young and nourish them with milk. Bats are nocturnal; they are most active at night and sleep during the day hanging upside-down. They are found in all types of habitats all around the world except at the poles.

There are over 900 different species of bats. The smallest bat is the bumblebee bat (with a wingspan of 6 inches=15 cm, weighing less than a penny); the biggest bat is the flying fox bat (with a wingspan of 6 feet=1.8 m, weighing 2 pounds=1 kg).

During the cold winter, some bats migrate to a warmer area. Some bats (like the brown bat) hibernate during the cold of winter, sleeping very deeply until warm weather arrives.

Why are bats associated with Halloween?

In early Halloween celebrations, people often gathered around giant bonfires to ward off evil spirits. Night-flying insects were attracted to the flames, which made bonfires the perfect feeding ground for bats. Thus, bats became quickly synonymous with Halloween celebrations. Additionally, during the Middle Ages, people began to link bats to witches because the both seemed to mystically fly throughout the dark night and disappear during the day.

Spiders are defined as having eight jointed legs, no wings, no antennae and only two body sections: the thorax and the abdomen. Spiders spend their entire life span capturing and eating other insects (about 2,000 in a year). Even though spiders do a great deal of good for our environment, spiders are greatly feared by most of the population. Most spiders are killed only because they scare people, not because they are actually dangerous to humans.

All spiders have some amount of venom with varying degrees of potency. The fangs of a spider are hollow. The venom is injected through the fangs into the victim (usually an insect). The venom will rapidly paralyze the victim and aid in digestion. Fortunately, most spiders are not dangerous to humans because their fangs are either too short or too fragile to penetrate human skin.
