A Game of Probability

This is my doggy coin bank, purchased from Malaysia. You can see that it is very old already and its left eye was gone too. Below the coin bank, you can see some words written on it as shown below in the photograph.



These are words written on the Doggy Coin Bank, a souvenir of our first tour to Malaysia. This Doggy Coin Bank belongs to me and it is written my name and it is signed by Richard.

There is another Doggy Coin Bank, exactly like this one above. Richard and I bought two similar ones during the year 1993 when we went to Malaysia, Genting for tour. It is supposed to be souvenirs and served as a remembrance for our trip there. So on mine, you can see those written words as shown above. As for Richard's, it is written the same thing, except that it is written his name, Richard Toh, but with my signature. Where is the Doggy Coin Bank now? I would like to see how my signature looked like then! But too bad... it's broken already... Did he not treasure the dog or was it fate or accident?

The first time I went to the Casino with Richard, I played Keno with him. That was the FIRST TIME I stepped into the Casino. I had never played Keno before. But I saw that it was a BET on NUMBERS. It is something like TOTO or 4D (4-digits), some kind of lottery game. There are pieces of paper displayed so that you can take any piece, a clean sheet, and you can start shading or circling (can't remember which one, the exact procedure) for the numbers you wanted to bet on (opening).

I was so CONFIDENT, and there is just something on my brain... do I call this what people used to say..."Gut Feeling"? Well, don't care what sort of feeling I have, but I just bet on THREE numbers, just three numbers. MY AIM was not to EARN MONEY, but to TRY or just to PLAY, since I was there, and also being Curious.

I hate to read WORDS, and I dislike reading small words for the rules of the games. And I have no interest in calculating how much I would win if I place such and such amount of money. I just placed my bet on a small amount of money. If I had remembered correctly, I won $85 (or $115 -- its either one) for the right numbers I had -- 3 numbers all correct!

It is just so LUCKY and so IMPOSSIBLE that I can actually won the game upon FIRST ENTRY into the casino, really First ENTRY -- our first game at Genting casino! Life is such a mystery. My mother often said that "Mahjong" always favours the new-comers, the green horn. Did that applied to me? Some people said that they do not believe in LUCK, but hard work. Such game as this simply is so hard to have an answer! But obviously to me, everything seemed to be 'planned' as seemed... looking back at my life and my past.
